Is it weird that this Fender Player P isn’t in Fender’s serial database?

I don't find it odd. When I was recently registering my new gear, new MII Strat standard was in the database but the (also MII) Frontman 20 amp was not. I image one day all Fender products will be in the database, but we aren't there yet.

2025 Fender Standard, shame on you Fender!

I was looking to add a guitar to my stable so I ended up buying the Stratocaster, despite the social media reviews. Not only was I not disappointed, it was actually a lot nicer than I was expecting. I don't care AT ALL that it was made in Indonesia.

Stingray Special: The best active bass on the market?

Stingrays are nice, but I like my Spector more.

Love it. Hate it. Sherwood Green.

If I may, I recently got a Spector NS Ethos HP 4 in Plum Crazy Purple. I have days where I go back and for between loving it and thinking it's the ugliest color I've ever seen. However, I completely love everything else about that bass so the color means very little to me anymore. That said...

    Mesa, ampeg, or hartke?

    That bass sure is interesting

Is anyone else completely in love with their tone?

I had a bit of a realization earlier today while I was practicing. I don't need to buy any more gear. The tone I'm getting from my Spector NS Ethos HP 4 through my Ampeg RB-110 is that "pure magic" I've been looking for for the last 30 years. Is anyone else fortunate enough to find their magic?

Import basses with dingwall, spector and sterling by music man

I have a Spector Ethos 4 HP. I can't speak to it being as good as a Dingwall as I've never played one, but I will say this: it's the nicest $1800 bass I've ever played. It's also the only bass I've ever owned that I didn't immediately want to change at least one thing. It was perfect from the...

    $300 P-Bass - Squier vs. Dean

No. It was an Epi, but still quite a bit under retail, and it was in remarkable shape.

    $300 P-Bass - Squier vs. Dean

Definitely this. I found my Thunderbird in a pawn shop and got it for $180.

    G.A.S is ridiculous

All this talk of red makes me miss my Midnight Wine Jazz Bass that I sold about a year ago. Man, I should've kept that thing.

    Top 5 "Bucket List" basses

I'm still hoping for a Mike Lull one day, preferably a T4 because I'm a Thunderbird guy.

    Inconsequential controversies in basses today...

I like them both, but the MIM would be all I could afford. If I suddenly found $2K to spend on a bass, it'd be time for a Sadowsky MetroExpress.

    Wiring question

With a little wire jiggling, it came back to life. Time to do some re-soldering. The factory sent this thing out as a disaster. There's zero organization to the wires and it's gotta be the worst soldering job I've ever seen. Then again, it's a $200 Squier P-Bass, so... Thanks again for the help.
