Thanks, I currently have SD SPB-1's on the P bass, I put these on thinking it would give me a warmer tone, but you are saying the 1/4 lb'ers will be warmer?

That's great advice, thanks. I have the tone rolled back just about all the way and I currently have TI flats on the bass, I definitely will try lowering the pickups to see if that helps and perhaps raise the action. Thanks again.

I use flats. Right now I have TI flats on my P bass but they are not giving me the warm tone I am looking for. My jazz bass has Deep Talkin' flats on it and that seems to have a much warmer tone, but is that attributed to the pickups more than the strings?

I am looking to swap out my Fender P bass pickups with a pair that would give me a very warm tone, don't want the highs. All suggestions are welcome and much appreciated. :)

Thanks, I tried some Chromes, but didn't care for the sound so then I tried some Chromes and they were too bright, so I got a set of Chromes and, guess what, they were a little too bright for me LOL! Just messing back at you man, seriously, thanks for the reply and recommendation. Rock on!

I was looking at the HT cards as well as the ASUS Xonar's. I have built a pc that has plenty of space and even though I am running SLI with 2 video cards I have a Ppci-e slots open, Being it sounds likle you guys know your pc sound, any recommendations on really good speaker system for music...

Was wondering, can anyone that plays a lot of music on their computer recommend a really good soundcard? Price is not an issue. :hyper:

Thanks so much, the only reason why I asked about the Fender Squire is because someone told me that the lines on some fretless bases are in the actual center position of where the fret is, not where the fret itself would be on a fretted bass, it can get kind of confusing.
