Ampeg pf115lf may be what you are looking for from what you describe. I love mine for that reason. By itself or paired with another cab, it has a great tone. I generally use it alone with my pf500 or paired with my RB210.

You might consider the Ampeg RB210. Pretty light and definitely gets the job done!

I have been using my LF115 with my RB210 at gigs for the past 6 months and I love the sound! I get a lot of compliments on it as well. The RB210 is great by itself but that 15” really adds a lot for a bigger room.

Also the Ampeg RB-210. I find it keeps up with 2 guitars,keys,drums just fine! Light weight and sounds awesome!

I asked this same question before traveling to Europe a few years ago. The best answer I got was to politely tell the steward(ess) right when you get on board that you are a musician and could you please put your bass in their front closet. This worked like a charm on every single flight I have...

That sounds a lot like my B15N, but I could get close with my 90’s V4BH or even my pf500.

I’ve got my rb210 paired with an ampeg PF115LF and the power and tone is awesome!

Try the RB 210 with or without the extension cab. Bliss!

I have a 1966 B15N and I can get a very close tone from my RB210 using my SD Studio Bass pedal. Bass 1:00, Mid 12, Treble -.75. SGT. off, Ultra switches off. On the oedal, Blend 1:00, Attack 11:55, Level 2:00, Compression 12:05.

In what way? I love the Ampeg tone and don’t care for either the Aguilar or the Mesa tone.

Yes, our 6’ grand piano we had to wait a year for cost $35,000. By the time we got it the price had gone up a few thousand more if ordering new! My wife better be playing that often… it will take a lot of bass purchases to even come close.
