I haven't had to make the final decision yet, but I will probably do a .154 for the low string at first. I can compare the natural drop-tune to pitch-shifting and decide which I like more. Always have the option of having the nut filed to fit thicker strings if I feel that's the thing to do.

Hey folks, prospective Dingwall owner here looking to get some advice on lower tunings and strings. I'm looking at a 5-string NG3, and plan to use it exclusively for lower-tunings (G# standard and below). The seller will be able to set it up for string gauges of my choice, but I'm a bit stuck...
