I just received an Epiphone Embassy Standard IV from SamAsh.com... (Invalid Link Removed) At first I thought the pickup screws were stripped. But it seems that the screws on the pickups weren't actually screwed into the bass. I'm not sure if the screws are long enough to dig firmly...

Anyone else have any other examples? You can name some obscure Motown stuff if you can... I've been listening to Jamerson stuff like crazy the last few months. I guess my ears arent really looking for the right thing. Damn my newbish ears.

I'm not sure how to word it correctly, but I was wondering if there is a correct fretting technique for playing back to back notes on different strings, but on the same frets? PS Is there a technical or more appropriate term if I need to reference this again?
