How is the neck? I was actually looking at a Lakland Skyline 44-01, but a friend offered the Ibanez, now at 75.00. I was thinking of installing a SD Bassline MM and J-bass pups in this for about 250. more.

It's mint condition, with the electronics cavity being so large I could easily install preamp.

I am in the market for a new bass and this is what I have narrowed it down too. I love the overall warm sound you get from the Lakland 44-01. The G&L definitely has some serious bite. Playing them back to back at the shop today, the 44-01 was about 20-30% quieter than the L2000.
