Ibanez Roadgear RD300 worth buying?

Thought about picking up for a project bass. Found one with hardcase for 100.00. Thought about throwing some Nordstrands in it, worth it?

It's mint condition, with the electronics cavity being so large I could easily install preamp.

Good bass. Solidly made. Only weird thing is that it comes with volume, tone, and fader controls. The fader is somewhat limiting. Otherwise, it's a well-made ax.

How is the neck? I was actually looking at a Lakland Skyline 44-01, but a friend offered the Ibanez, now at 75.00. I was thinking of installing a SD Bassline MM and J-bass pups in this for about 250. more.

rd's are great axes to mod (as are most ibby's IMO). and at $75, why not get both!
