    Last gig with an amp!

Well said!! As I mentioned above, it has been quite interesting to read the different viewpoints and their justifications. I’ll stand by my last post that in my opinion, IEMs CAN offer rewards if the investment is made to properly implement them. They don’t fit every circumstance and I can...

    Last gig with an amp!

It’s been really interesting reading the replies to this post! As expected, lots of different opinions. It all depends on your individual situations. We started with a Mackie mixer, a roll around rack with 3 power amps and power conditioners, passive 18” subs, passive mains with dual or...

I get it, different strokes for different folks. The technology today in linear array systems is amazing! I’m even hearing stuff in our break music that I never heard before in our old system. To me, it’s all about the FOH mix and giving the person running it all the flexibility they need to...

    Last gig with an amp!

Yes! I have the best mix in my IEMs that I control using Mixing Station on my iPhone. Lead vocals, guitar vocals, guitar, bass, and 8 channels off of the drum kit. Best part is that the volume can be set to suit me. I have complete trust in the person out front running FOH from a tablet.

I know he still does pitch bend harmonics in his leads. Not sure about feedback. Maybe I haven’t missed it because it’s not part of our current set list. He’s running a Helix system that’s extremely versatile. :bassist:

It’s a 2017 4003W. Walnut body, maple neck. Mods are a Nordstrand “Nordenbocker” humbucker in the neck position. Stronger output and eliminates the 60hz hum. Also, a bridge pickup surround that has a thumb rest. All stock otherwise including Rickenbacker strings. Weighs about 9lbs. :)

:) We have someone out front running the tablet for the PA FOH mix. She does an awesome job!

    Last gig with an amp!

So the popular adage goes with age comes lighter gear. I turn 65 next month, what is wrong with me? I took this out last weekend. It was a beautiful outdoor gig. I did it partly to prove to myself that I could still load and unload it. It was awesome! We recently upgraded our PA from...

    Club Sandberg (part 2)

IMO, it’s closest to a Jazz in both active and passive. Leaning towards modern. The difference in the humbucker coil split is very discernible. In humbucker mode it naturally leans more towards a Stingray adding more low end and punch. In single coil mode, more toward a Jazz. I find the...

    Club Sandberg (part 2)

Picked this beauty up last week at Bass Central and played my first gig with it last night. It’s a TM-4 California SuperLight. Weighs in at 6.4lbs. As for for tone, I’d put it in the middle. Fender P and Jazz basses on one side, my Ric, MM Stingrays, Spectors on the other side. It was warm...
