Who regularly does bass solos in songs?

The only thing worse than listening to a bass solo is playing a bass solo.

Who here feels like drive slows down their playing?

I have never noticed drive slowing my playing down. I probably will now.

    Question on in-ear monitors

The drummer carries mine. If I run across the stage I have to make sure I don't stop suddenly. :)

Less low end when playing live : are high end amps worth it?

Are HPFs the new Labubu? Did Jaco use one? :)

Strange area on maple neck: Is this just an imperfection in the wood?

I have a bass with an area similar to that and have had no issues. I consider it a free value added fret marker.

Extension cab for Ampeg Rocketbass 210

I have a Markbass New York 121 that I have been using with my RB 210, and it seems to be working out well. Does anyone think an Ampeg 15 inch would sound better?

Sterling Ray24: versatile little thing... Love story - 'the jingle' with a twist...

Looks and sounds great! Where did you find the Hipshot Ultra Light tuners, and did you have to drill holes to install them?

    Multifx on these days

I have done just the opposite; back to a tuner and a Sans Amp BDDI.

Wet Leg / Short scale bass

Thanks for the responses. I wasn't knocking short scale basses, I've just not had much experience with them and was impressed with the sound the bassist from Wet Leg was getting from his. Now to try to explain to the wife why I need a short scale to add to the bass collection. Lol

Wet Leg / Short scale bass

I heard the band Wet Leg playing live on a late night talk show recently. It looked like the bass player was using a (Mustang?) short scale bass, it sounded great. His amp rig appeared to be an older Fender tube set up. I have frequently heard that short scales don't sound as good as long scale...

If you do, how often do you oil your fretboard?

What is this "oil of the fretboard" you speak of?
