That is pretty. I received mine Monday and have been playing it a lot too. I am so pleased with it. You buy something used online you never really know even though the pictures looked good. But this thing is in mint condition and for what I paid, I'm very happy.

Now that's a novel idea. I'm glad I didn't play bass or crave buying something all the time when I was saving for retirement. I might still be working. ;)

Well I'm a beginner too and to be honest, I just liked the look of it and it seemed comfortable enough to play. Its plenty good to learn on. I'm happy with the purchase.

I bought one not long ago as in the pic below. Not a pic I took as my camera phone is screwed up. If you don't want to give me a number, that's fine. I also have a Ray34. I have two residences so will keep one in each location.

Take your time and make sure you are getting what you want. Nothing wrong with a $1k bass if that is what you want. Heck, I didn't pay anywhere close to that for the 2 I own and I am very happy. But if an expensive custom bass is your dream instrument, it would be better to wait and put the 1k...
