Contact your local Stagg dealer who will be able to order you a replacement neck, both types being available. Usefully, both styles now have the larger, reinforced peg-box, which improves a potential weak point of the first generation of these basses.

It has happened to me too, especially in a confined space (bedroom recording studio, anyone?) You just have to be careful and keep an eye on the cable.

Invalid Link Removed Not very expensive - under £400. Oh, and they are tuned to E A D like the bottom three strings of a double bass or bass guitar, and played (I'm not joking) with a leather boot-heel! I like the Fender-esque headstock on this one.

Mine is now my go-to bass. I'd leave it plugged in if it didn't drain the battery! My elder son, Thomas (14) was working out an acoustic blues guitar arrangement of "Iko Iko" yesterday, and I joined in on my Stagg. It rocks! I'll have to record it some time.
