SOLD Upscale bubinga? Dean bass - musicman style

Just to let you know, that bass is actually maple body and maple neck with rosewood fretboard, it has just been stained. Sorry it's not bubinga, but a good looking bass none the less. GLWS!

I need to reposition a bridge and I'm not sure what to do.

I've done setups for 13 years now and I've never experienced an issue like this. I will measure when I get off work to double check the exact scale length and try to determine if the frets are out of position. HJC gave me a good description, the same as yours, for determining the correct scale...

I need to reposition a bridge and I'm not sure what to do.

I mean exactly that. The open strings are in tune using a tuner and the harmonics over the 12th and 24th frets are in in tune as well. as I play notes up the fretboard the notes get more and more sharp, sometimes up to 50hz off.

I need to reposition a bridge and I'm not sure what to do.

I have a Conklin GT7 that I need to move/reposition the bridge to get proper intonation. The bridge sits too far forward (closer to the pickups) and the notes on my low strings are anywhere from 20-50hz off when the open string and harmonics are precisely in tune over the 12th and 24th frets...

Anyone interested in building me a body?

Thank you for the information and the suggestions. I know that Prat is busy, I had a custom built by him a few months back, but I will check with some of the other luthiers that you mentioned.

Anyone interested in building me a body?

EDIT: HaMMerHeD informed me that this is not allowed here on the forums, so I am removing the information and this thread can be closed. I'll just have to find some other way to get in touch with builders... sucks because this would be a great place for bassists and builders to find one another...

Stuff you hate to hear a non-bassist say (part 2)

-For the "Bass is easier right?" comment I typically respond "In the beginning it can be easier dealing with single notes on your first couple of songs that you ever learn, but when you get to the difficult stuff, as with any instrument... it's all difficult" -When the guitarist tells me...

Ibanez GVB36 -- Anyone tried it yet?

There are a couple of reviews on the second page i think. one from me and one from another member. While our reviews differ somewhat, the general consensus is: The Preamp is garbage and needs to be replaced, probably replace the pickups too for a set of real barts, if you can get used to the...

    IBANEZ SR1405E PREMIUM REVIEW

My 1405 is perfect. You probably just got a fluke man. I have a problem with my Ibanez GVB36, but another guy that has one says his is perfect. It just happens sometimes. Sorry that's how's yours turned out, i wish you better luck in the future.
