Review: GHS Pressurewounds ~ Tangy Not Twangy

Hi, guys, does any of you have any experience with these strings on an acoustic or a hollowbody bass? I got two incredible acoustic and hollowbody Ibanez basses, but I want something more versatile than the Labella flats that I put on the hollowbody, they sound awesome, but they are a one trick...

Review: GHS Pressurewounds ~ Tangy Not Twangy

by your post I think that you, like it happened to me, will like the strings much more once they mellow. I recommend you to give them fair playing time and also try it with a full band, where they really shine, you will get accustomed to the feel and better sound as they get older. At the end of...

Review: GHS Pressurewounds ~ Tangy Not Twangy

I think you will love the 106's if you need that good feeling E string growl... They are hard tension indeed, comparing them with other rounds, but nothing bad. The "stiff" feeling is there also, but I love it, because is some kind of grip that I can use on my favour. I love hard tension flats...

D'Addario Chromes vs. Rotosound Monel flats

Very accurate description of both strings. Love me some Rotosounds flats, being new or dead, but right now I have them on stand by because I want to try a lower gauge, because tension, not that I hate the regular 45-105, it is great with very low action, but I want to play some things that...

    Zoom MS-60B+ (a compact B2-Four?)

It's too much fun, I like to do some weird things with it, inlcuding the looper and some deIays from the Zomm, I got rid of the Boss DD500 (a great pedal) just for the ego.

Professional Bass Players Who Uses Budget Instruments?

Billy Fuller from Robert Plant band plays some interesting and fairly cheap vintage short scales with his band Beak.

Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Just arranged this little setup as a second board for having fun at home. Man, I forgot how great that old Memory Man pedal is! Amazing sounds I can get out of it, some of them would be impossible to get from other delays with more modern technology. And what to say about the old Oc2? It may be...

PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

A couple of changes since my last post: I got rid of the Fulltone OCD, a really great pedal, but a one trick pony, I got a Pork and Pickle and I like it much better, a lot of tonal range with it, and I put it before my Baby Thunder fuzz. Also, I changed the Spark preamp and Warden order, with...

Best setup for listening to music.

When I don't feel like using the computer or my Nux Mighty plug to practice with songs, I connect my AKG K361 and cellphone to my Micro Cube, sounds great to my ears.
