    The rattle in mine was a crack in the aluminum body. Checked everything.. was driving me nuts, then saw a light gap on the casing. Pretty rough with that amp.

    Double Bass plywood bass. tailpiece cable or cord?

    I recently went over to the marvin tailpiece and can honestly say, make sure you center that single wire going over the saddle. Get out some measuring tools and get the absolute center.. made a huge difference to the sound and feel when it was setup properly.
