I run a brx 210 neo, it handles my markbass & GK 500 watt heads easily, never distorts, even when run hard. Great cab. Don't know about the non neo version but I'll bet it it's good.

I have an 81 L1000 also and love it, it has rounds. I have flats on my 2 p's and love the feel also. Thinking about putting flats on the L1000, just don't like the feel of rounds anymore.

I had the exact opposite experience. I had 2 Schroeder 21012's that didn't cut it, I ended up selling them & bought 2 brx 210's & 1 410. Most of the time 1 210 is all I need. I am very impressed with how much these cabs will take. I have some of the older neo's & don't know how they compare to...

Don't quite get this, I have recently converted to flats on 2 of my basses & love how they sound new. if I want more of a dead, thuddy, upright sound I just adjust the tone knob on The Bass. I will let mine age naturally without rubbing them down with goop but you have me looking forward to...

I played my bx500 last night at a gig ( first time in a long time) and it sounded great! Low and thumping, notes were clear and defined and bumping the drive up for certain songs was killer tone. The sustain at the end of some songs was unreal. Great head, I will be using it more often.

Played guitar in a band that couldn't keep a bass player and there were an abundance of good guitarists so I promoted myself to bass. Playing bass has kept me busier gigging than playing guitar ever did. Although I do occasionally have a guitar gig.
