There are a number of sites that compare cable capacitance if you Google for them. http://www.ovnilab.com/articles/cablechoice.shtml is one, for example. Almost all the cables listed there are lower than any of the Mogami cables, some significantly lower.

All three of my EBMMs (SR5 and two Bongo 5s) were bought based on looks, since I had no way to actually play them before purchasing. However, I wasn't too worried about it, since EBMM makes very playable instruments with good/consistent quality control.

Actually, with the possible exception of the Mogami Premium line (which you can't buy in bulk, only pre-made cables), Mogami rates average to poor on the low capacitance front depending on which series of cable you are using from them. The Premium line I've never found the capacitance specs...

At that short of a distance, I wouldn't worry about it. Both runs are buffered low impedance, so runs of 20-30 feet you shouldn't hear any change, even in the high end. Using an SGI44 or other balanced converter system is for seriously long runs.

I would guess that it's the same physical hardware, just a different firmware revision that changes the controls. After all, the TC amps do all their processing digitally.
