I would recommend any of the AuzenTech sound cards! And maybe the ASUS Xonar Essence STX or something of the like. I wouldn't get the sound blaster stuff. Or anything aimed towards gaming. :)!

I would prefer a gig bag with compartments, I just find that usually hard cases only give enough room to store the essentials.
