Lucky! By the time I put my specs in for my custom Z3 it was no longer an available option.

    Official Zon Club Part 5

I have a sonus special (see my profile pic). The pickup spacing is much different than this bass.

Ugh.. they seem to be doing that with their options... if it's a PITA they stop offering it. I really liked how the top wood matching speedo bars looked. I heard that was the reason why blacked out necks are no also longer available.. which sucks because I was thinking of doing a ABII build...

Zon basses - is everything OK ?

Google was my friend... Found it. Very enlightening and kinda explains a bit on why things are the way they are with their ability to produce basses these days.

Do you have a link to the podcast in question? I'm genuinely curious what Joe has to say here..

Quiet in the sense of noise? Yup. It's pretty quiet. I use mine for recording direct into my interface.

The clean tone comes from the tube. So you're getting a tube sound all the time if it's engaged.

Zon basses - is everything OK ?

I've got one of the older Sonus basses with the neck relief issue. It was built 1997/1998 and lacks the truss rod which was the norm at the time. After about 15 years I started noticing playability issues. At this point it's not really playable so it sits in my closet waiting for me to do...

    SOLD Roscoe SKB 6

I wasn't really looking for another 6 string... but this is really tempting. What is the condition? Any dings etc? Did the string spacing get confirmed to be 18mm? Do you happen to have any sound clips of it in action? I looked up a video review of a similar SKB 6 and it sounds friken amazing...

    New Markbass Vintage Pre

Honestly.. i don't really agree with their rational to having the loop that way. Probably it was a design compromise to not offer it as a switchable setting and that is their excuse. Not happy about that... i am surprised I didn't pick up on it on my board.. I'll have to experiment a bit. But...

I agree completely.. I wanted to put my compressor in the loop in order to avoid the whole input/output level control dance that I would have to do every time I adjust gain or wanted more output out of the preamp. I have things in my chain that follow the preamp and I just want one single output...

I highly doubt you'll get them to jump on here.. but if you do happen to get a response please let us know... :)

I don't know why Markbass does this. They do it on their amps too. I get the benefit if your loop has an issue but that's no reason to basically cripple the loop in the first place. IMO the loop is pointless if you can't control the dry/wet. Either make it 100% wet (like ever single other loop...
