Hi, I realise that this is a bit of a wild shot but by any chance do you still have the Bass Player May/June 1991 Muzz Skillings for sale?
If so, can you post it to the UK?
Thank you ,
.
Hi, the body was routed for the single coil. It's a replica body, flat no contours. The Model One sounds great. Not at all "muddy".
I just need a membership number now :-)
Does this count? I had this assembled. I call it my HillBilly bass as it's a cross between a Dusty Hill style bass and a Sheehan inspired one. Stacked controls. Model One and a Strat type bladed humbucker.
I've not posted for a while. Here's a link to a video on drop box where I'm demoing my TBird style basses

I've a BB714BS and I've modded another bass by adding a dual blade humbucker at the neck. It might be worth doing this if you have a bass you like but want the sound of a neck pickup.
I take it you won't be doing as much work on this, as you needed to do on the Waterstone, to make it playable? ;-)
Don't forget you can send it to Liverpool, UK, if you don't want it! :-)
Not that, that will happen! :-)
Some time ago a British guitar magazine ran an article on some of Phil's basses that were for sale. Complete with pictures. There was also an article in an issue of bass player.

Which says the following:
Though Phil...
I've two Yamaha basses. A BB714BS and a RBX200. The latter is the 1987 design and I got it dirt cheap. The neck is great. Fast and flat. However, it's missing the truss rod nut. Does anybody know what side the truss rod thread is?
10/32 or the metric equivalent 8mm?
Any help on this will be...
