i would think that, the only way the same speakers in different cab configurations would be significant, is if you were comparing a single cab, vs two cabs that were spaced on either side of the stage? one cab should be spaced and sized to avoid phase issues. bass normally saturates the venue...

have you done it yet? definately use shielded cable if you can't run a separate conduit, i've run cat6e unshielded along power cables for a couple meters and seems fine but if you want to install it once just go shielded in separate conduit for overkill (separate is standard in australia).

oh and putting it really close to as many walls (corner eg) as you can is prolly best. thats my go to for any speakers.

yea, boundary reinforcement or something. bassically the sound waves that bounce off the wall at 1/2 wavelength get cancelled out and @1/4 get boosted so theres info on the web somewhere, ill post my spreadsheet when i can. try moving ur magnets (amp/speakers) closer and further from the wall...
