So I have a (standard?) Elrick fretless that I bought used. My question is about the 3 position switch, I know it selects mid frequencies, but with mine there is an audible pop when switching to the 3rd position. Why? Actually any info you have would be helpful, as there was no paper work on it...

I had this happen with me Fender T-Bucket, I cut the bridge piece with the thinnest saw blade I could find, into 4 separate pieces like 4 different saddles. This solved my problem on the cheap!
