Okay... I'm THAT guy. I vastly prefer taking my basses to gigs in gigbags/soft cases, rather than the oversized rectangular monstrosities that accompany most of my basses in rotation. I've got a Rick 4005XC on the way, and although the silver case is bitchin' and all that...I hate dragging...

Actually, Tom P. played Gibson T-Birds then. The Hamer 12 hadn't yet been invented when that album came out. Tom actually never played the B12-L models like the OPs. Those came out in the early '90s, and Tom broke with Hamer a few years after that.

Mike Shishkov is NOT going to be doing Hamer copies - just to make that clear. At this time, he is not accepting any custom orders for 12 string basses. If that changes in the future, I'll be sure to post!

Just to help out, that ISN'T the CH-12 - the CH-12 is the Korean/Chinese model. The USA model is the B-12L. Those things are GREAT.

Exactly. Hamer is not going to reissue a bass that we can all buy for $500-$800 any day of the week on eBay. I really don't think we're looking at a bass that is going to be priced less than $2,500-$3k (to start), and I'm also 99.99% sure you aren't going to get a bolt-on of ANY variety...

I'm not sure where to begin on that one, but I don't believe that there is anything under $4k LIST (non-dealer discounted) on the current 7/09 Pricelist. The Monaco bass LISTS for closer to $5k.

The only place that one would acquire a 4-digit cherry trans, maple board, 8 string fretless Standard bass? From Sting. That was the only one ever made. You could always place a custom order from Hamer though... ;)

Roger - I believe I was one of those people...if you're talking about the '05 Anaheim NAMM Show, then definitely.
