Epiphone ‘64 Thunderbird

Have you ever been? Aberdeen is cool.
Alba Gu Bràth!

I have not, I haven't even been able to find the correct cloth for my family tartan...

Can someone please describe for me the difference between the '64 and the previous '60's version Epi T-Bird? Other than color options I'm not seeing what the differences are. I'm getting interested in updating to one of the newer ones but I'd really like it in white which the '64 isn't offered in (and not sure on the 60's but thought white was an option).

Also, my ‘60s Thunderbird (from 2022) has a dark Rosewood board v. Indian Laurel on the ‘64 TBirds.

The LAST thing I need is another bass, bu they had me at “Sparkle Finish”…

So now that a little time has passed, what is the verdict on these? I know @TBird1958 likes it. Anyone else? I am in line with Sweetwater for a red one but starting to think twice.

help me spend money, TB!

I have another one on the way

As with everything, there are different opinions. I haven’t seen one yet. There are a few here who really like them. There is a poster on the Facebook Thunderbird group page who adores his and others there are liking them too. But there are a few there who think they aren’t all that great.

Buying from Sweetwater is the safest bet if you get one with a problem as they’ll replace it without any hassles.

What colour?

I have the Blue sparkle and purple sparkle arriving on munday...

Tubesday for me IIRC, Blue it is, since I already have a purple '76.
