    Music Man Cutlass Redux

Au Natural: pt. 1 Had a nice 90 minute shoot out at the local GC between a G&L LB-100 and a MM Cutlass (the light blue maple fretboard combo). Bit of background: i have a thing for basses with a natural wood finish. I'm currently playing a Gibson EB-13. Love the punch, warmth and the tonal...

    GIBSON Club. Part II

Been interested in this lil suh'um for years now. My fender p/j hasn't left the case since it got here. Oh, the tones and the punch.

Soooooo it's been a minute TB. I'm good though. Good, as in I'm cured. I used to suffer from G.A.S. like some of the rest o' yo sorry lot, but no more. I've found my ideal setup. I shall want no more. I go to my local guitar shop now just to see how the other 1/2 lives, but temptation holds no...

Thanks Camp. It's a great matchup so far. I just got the "15 today so i havent had chance to run it at show volumes but even for low volume/headphone mix, so far it sounds amazing. Anything you'd need from new school to old and like i described in my post, Thick and Alive. At least that's my...

Wellllll, pt.2 Subway head arrived last wednesday. Since I sold the Orange rig to get the Subway head, i didn't have a cab yet. SO i plugged in and just played via the headphone input.....3&1/2 hours later or so i believe, I still could not stop smiling. The tonal variation alone in comparison...

Welllll, Sold the Orange Terror bass 500 and sp 212 rig and now I'm sitting and waiting like an 8 year old on Christmas morning waiting for UPS to deliver my Subway today. Never been this "amped" for an amp that i've never played in person, so hopefully the magic is real. Pics and review coming...

Boom Bass Cabinet Tank 1015 Review

I hear ya. Liked what I heard from the Mb fusion too but from what I've read from the previous owners that switched over to the Mesa Subway, I've decided on the Mesa Subway 800 + boom 1215 Tank. Same headroom but the highs are less present and harsh on the Subway.

Thanks. That was actually the exact info I was looking for. I like fatness and punch but not glassy highs. Mesa for the win it seems.

Thanks Ewo. Sounds like either would be a viable option really as the differences seem minimal. I just wish I could find a local shop to test the Subway. I know most online shops have a 30 day return policy but an in store A/B testing of both heads using my bass would help me finally put this...

Boom Bass Cabinet Tank 1015 Review

Thanks for the review. I'm looking into pairing the 1215 Tank with either the GK MBFusion 800 or the Mesa Subway 800. More feedback like this from existing Boom cab owners would be helpful.

Can't say enough about the helpful info on TB Current GAS dilemma: looking to replace my Orange TB500 head + SP 212 rig for either the GK MB Fusion 800 or Subway 800 head. Planning on pairing it with a 1215 Boom Bass Cab to create the mini rig of Doom! ( I need the best volume to...

Ibanez BTB owners - show your BTB's

Early Christmas (thank the wife.). I've wanted a 1405e Premium for some time now. I've got a couple of basses in my collection but this trumps them all. High quality materials. Plays like a dream. Time to sell my btb 675, but although I've had fond memories with it, I won't miss it thanks to this.

NCD: Boom Bass Cabinets Tank 212SE

I've been looking at this cab for a bit (the 1215 Tank.) I like the specs and the portability. Looking to pair it with the new mesa boogie Subway D 800, but I've been hesitant to pull the trigger because the company is so new and seems like a 1 man operation (not necessarily a bad thing.) The...

Official Mesa Boogie Subway Series Club

Maaaaaaaan I was all set to part with my Orange Terror Bass rig for a GK MB Fusion setup until I saw the Subway. Now I'll be on the waiting list like everybody else it looks like. The only decision at this point is 2x115s or the 12 & 15. The cost difference between the cabs is minimal, so I'm...

    Official Orange Club II

Count me in!!! Impressions = after two gigs this week, the word "giddy" comes to mind. The sheer "balls" of the sound. The depth, clarity, and warmth generated from this little box is everything I've read and researched and more. I'm coming from a Markbass 210 combo, which I loved for the warm...
