The effects loop of the Terror is at line level, (e.g. for rack effects) if your Aguilar puts out line level signal, it should work.

Indeed the Aguilar TH DI does put out line level, unbalanced TS not balanced TRS. I tried it today and it works like a charm. Just another reason to leave the QSC at home!

Impressions = after two gigs this week, the word "giddy" comes to mind. The sheer "balls" of the sound. The depth, clarity, and warmth generated from this little box is everything I've read and researched and more. I'm coming from a Markbass 210 combo, which I loved for the warm tone and portability, but this Orange amp and cab setup is the hands down winner. I love the fact that I plugged it in, made minor adjustments and bang, the sound was perfect for my tastes. Did I mention the 5 minute setup and breakdown time? I've been doing my homework for over a year now and was planning on choosing between Ampeg, Aguilar, TC Electronics and the Orange. I wanted the loudest, deepest, warmest tone in the most portable micro rig possible and voila. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
Looking at adding a second SP212 at some point although after first hand experience I'm struggling to think of a scenario when I'd need to be louder than where I'm at currently. Can't say enough about this setup. Glad to join the club.
I'm so glad to hear you have a winner combination there! And those things are really loud, unless you are playing an open air without PA, you will hardly ever need something louder.

At last night's gig I tried to plug in DI into our band's board for the first time and they said I was peaking their board, so I had to just play without PA support (which I didn't need). How can I remedy this for a bigger show where i will need PA support? Start micing instead? We did play a pretty big gig the weekend before last with the huge outdoor sound system provided and it was no problem. So, not sure what's the deal with my band's board not being able to handle it.
Anyway, this was the second time I used my BT500 at a gig. My band's old bass player was there and sat in on a few tunes. I took the oppurtunity to head to the back of the room to give a listen. Unreal. Just perfect.

Terror Bass of the first generations got a really hot DI output, furthermore, the DI is controlled by the gain but not by the volume knob.
Try putting a DI between the amp and the box (like the Radial JDI) if you want the colour of your amp. If you want the best solution IMO;
DI out of your bass and mic your cab, mix at please. FOH tech will hate the extra 3 minutes setup, but will love the sound.

Hot DI is a known issue. I contacted Orange about mine (I'm not the original owner) and they fixed it for free. So I'd email them. They turned mine around in less than two weeks.
I love my TB 500. I sometimes wish I had a little more EQ flexibilty for crappy rooms but I simply cannot bring myself to replace it. Just sounds too perfect...Now I'm thinking about one of those headcases.

The earlier ones use drivers with neodymium magnets. The later units use ceramic-based drivers, I believe.

I haven't played through the combo but have played a Terror 500 through the 2x12. Loud little setup. Not a lot of high end though if thats what you're looking for. But if you stack the combo on another 2 x 12 Orange that would be a pretty slammin setup.

Thanks. Yeah I got that email from Bassstringsonline so that's why I was wondering. As far as tone goes I kinda want it all: Big bottom, mid forward and crystal top end.
Using the Terror 500 head.played through 4x10 marshall,ebs,ashdown. 1x15 stack with eminence deltas and 810.Bottom is full even too much at times mids are punchy and full the high isn't the crispy clean more on the harsher side.I play more of modern metal and rock and it suits me perfectly for this genres.
