    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

Been a while since I posted here. I'm cleaning house, and went to the classifieds to see what my 2009 4003 in mapleglo might fetch. There are scant sales here, on the Rick Resource, Reverb, eBay, pretty much everywhere. Either no one is selling, or no one is buying. Not sure what to think.

The FDeck is a great hi-pass filter pedal. It’s adjustable.

How Low Tension are TI "Low Tension" Flats?

They do not feel low tension at all. Please do not judge them upon opening. You owe it to yourself to give them a few days or a week to settle in. Then you’re gold!

Unexpected rant! Is there new music these days that remembers what music really is ?

Listen to college radio. Look for some indie and roots music channels to stream. Look at Pitchfork. There is so much good new music that I can’t keep up. Just stay away from pop and most of the FM dial.

Roger Daltrey says Jimi Hendrix copied Pete Townshend

I could never bring myself to buy a Hofner because some people might think I’m copying that one Beatles guy

Is it ever acceptable to wear shorts at a gig?

Careful, the people dissing shorts walk a fine line separating them from those who dis long hair, facial hair, tattoos, etc. After all, aren’t musicians always about doing what unites us, eg, the music, rather than pointing out things one doesn’t approve of?

Is it ever acceptable to wear shorts at a gig?

When Angus and Malcom started out, their uncle told them don’t appear to be better than your audience. You won’t be accepted. That advice made them a fortune.

Is it ever acceptable to wear shorts at a gig?

I’m always surprised at how polarizing this top is always is. Being an artist is all about free expression. Telling someone they shouldn’t wear a certain piece of apparel is just so wrong. Makes ‘em sound like The Man. You know the culture of your band. And if it’s a show band, a review...
