Thanks @G-Dog, wish I had known this before I went through the trouble of returning a perfectly fine amp just to get a new one and find out it was my WiFi causing the issue.

Just wanna say first I love my Stage 800, was at a local GC today and saw the new Rumble 800, my old back was instantly a little PO'd at fender at how light it felt lol

I bought a American Performer mustang a year ago, it's been my go to since.

The Brite Flats were not really my cup of tea either, I was just throwing them out there as an option the OP could try out. Strings are such a personal taste item. Just too many variables. I'm sure we all would love to have the $$$ back for all the strings we've tried and later pitched in the trash.

I've tried GHS Brite Flats in the past, they might work for you.

Never thought I'd own a white bass until I saw this on Craigslist! IMO the tort makes the white pop.
