Is it wrong that I want to play a little guitar?

The fact that I don’t know what syncopated bass lines are tells me I should have been a drummer!!

Is it wrong that I want to play a little guitar?

I think I could sing more playing guitar. Mostly do harmony now. When trying to sing, I tend to follow what I’m playing.

Is it wrong that I want to play a little guitar?

First part - Actually, I have wide hands but shorter, thick fingers. That and a cheap guitar when I was a kid, I bailed too early and switched to bass. 30+ years later, I discover there’s more than one way to play a C chord and they make guitars with wider necks and string spacing. Second - I’m...

Is it wrong that I want to play a little guitar?

Above all, I wouldn’t A) get up and make an **s of myself or B) play something I couldn’t handle... l’m talking a Stones song or 2 in open G and a couple acoustic songs in G,C and D. The last two years before the break was no fun at all due to an over-bearing guitarist who crapped on everyone...

Is it wrong that I want to play a little guitar?

This may be may be a solution, as well. Do a few songs at an open mic or jam with some other folks to scratch that itch. Small town with 3-4 bands already so getting a whole new band going may not be realistic.

Is it wrong that I want to play a little guitar?

I have no issues with someone in the band playing my bass. One guitarist mailed me 4 guitars home while he was working out west and look after them until he gets home. Other is a lefty, but has a bass. The drummer told him we had jammed on several songs but apparently failed to mention I had...

Is it wrong that I want to play a little guitar?

Drummer tells me after 20 years that he can play harmonica. One guitar player can play drums ok. So why not get guitar player on drums and drummer gets up and sings and plays the harp on a song or two. Bingo!!

Is it wrong that I want to play a little guitar?

I`ve played bass for 30+ years and played in the same band with the drummer for 20. Last February, we stopped playing due to personal issues. I decided to get a guitar to fool around until everything settled down. I`ve gotten to be decent at it and have learned 6+ songs that could be inserted...

    Whoops, hot mic....

We were playing a Relay For Life which is a fundraiser for cancer research where teams walk around a track for 24 hours. we had an hour long slot at around midnight. After the first song, our drummer says " Everybody still alive out there?!?!" An honest mistake.... A good drummer who can play...

    Peavey 410 TVX making noises

Thanks. I was hoping I could. It sounds great other than that. I`m running my Ampeg Portabass 250W combo through it right now, and might get the separate head or look for something else. Local store has a Portaflex 350 and a used GK 400RB.

    Peavey 410 TVX making noises

I bought a used Peavey 410 VTX and it makes a `farting`noise for about two or three minutes and then comes out of it. I thought one of the speakers was blown but then it stopped so I`m thinking it`s in the cross-over, electronics part and it has to warm up.... My question is, can I by-pass...
