I am trying to square up the area under my nut in order to install, and using a file I am getting a slight roundness to the area (higher in middle). Is there a better way to do this than using a file? Thanks, CP

I am building a bass with a pau ferro fingerboard, and wonder if I need to seal with epoxy or such? I am already planning on using epoxy as the filler for the neck, but don't know if I need to put a coat of in on the fretboard. Thanks, CP

Stewmac does have ferrules for sale.

There are commercial basses that don't have a neck plate, such as warwick, but it seems they use a special washer like a cup washer. You can see like [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] Anyone know exactly what they use? CP
