A smaller cab dillema eden vs ebs

    Anyone? :hmm:

    2ohm head

I'm with you all the way. I have that head, and you definitely can't get more bang for the $ in that price range. I got mine used in mint cond. along with the Groove 410H cab for approximately 1000$. The cab is a bit bulky, though :hmm:

A smaller cab dillema eden vs ebs

Thanks everyone. I guess I'll go with the 12". How would you compare GK neo212 to the EBS?

A smaller cab dillema eden vs ebs

I currently own a Kustom Groove 1200 head and the 410 cab, and I've had enough of carrying that around. The head is great and I'm gonna stick to it, but I would like to upgrade with a lighter 210 or 212 standalone cab that I could than pair up with the Kustom 410 when needed. I have narrowed...

    Chorus Pedal

I'm thinking of buying the Hardwire stereo chorus (Digitech). I got it for a test drive and it really sounds good with bass (not beeing a bass chorus). It's very versatile with 7 different modes. Plus it's got some interesting features along with it such as stomplock guards... Has anyone else...

so what the heck IS prog rock these days?

Not sure if someone mentioned them... Pain of Salvation I'm listening to their 2007 album - Scarsick. Awesome :hyper:

    Digitech - Where's the love?

I have the bp200, and have some self-made presets that I really like. The bypass is a problem, though. It sucks out your tone, so I'm avoiding it more and more...

Need more midpunch for OD-ed bass, help?

Mah, the tweeter thing was really just an experiment (it turned out OK, though) and I probably won't insist on it. I'll fiddle around a bit with the beta positions. What's your opinion on d4? And I will definitely try with the room mic, thanks again. I think we have an SE condenser...

Need more midpunch for OD-ed bass, help?

Tnx a bunch, I'll try that. Concearning the 57, it really worked well with the tweeter - added the definition, but not in the harsh DI fashion. Anyways, I thought the d6 would give enough of the 'body' itself.... obviously NOT

Need more midpunch for OD-ed bass, help?

So, my band is recording an EP on our own. So far, it's going really good, the drums turned out very well, now for the bass. I am using the following: Peavey Cirrus 5 USA, Tech 21 Sansamp Programmable BDDI, Kustom Groove 1200 Head, Kustom Groove 410H and I run 3 channels: DI from the BDDI...

Let's list the "sucks tone" myths.

    I ment - inferior quality.

Let's list the "sucks tone" myths.

I have to disagree with some of the above. Any crappy cable in your signal path WILL suck your tone. And I did notice my amp working a bit weird when plugged in the same socket with the PA for instance... so the guitard may be right :hiding:

    Any singing bass players?

I'm the lead singer in my cover band. I was primarily a singer, but knew a few chords and scales on guitar and keys and eventually ended up on bass & vocs. Got competely smitten with bass afterwards :bassist: I had no problems with singing and playing bass - maybe it's because the singing part...

Music you have discovered through more non-convetional methods

Full Throttle soundtrack - the band is called The Gone Jackals and the soundtrack was actually available as an album. Also the soundtrack for the game Interstate 76 - an absolute must have (and learn a few songs) for any funk lovin' bassist out there :bassist: Arion Salazar on the bass
