Not necessarily flat vs round end; there are Moderns with round ends. Classic: 20 fret. Modern: 21 fret. Plus, the Modern 5 neck is slimmer overall than the Vintage, has a flatter radius and still manages to keep the 19mm spacing. That Burgundy Mist sparkle above is a Modern, which I prefer...

It's been my experience that decisions by committee NEVER work. You need to designate ONE band director and that person has final say on disagreements and the general direction of the band. If that system can't work, this probably isn't the right band for you. ✌️

I buy guitar boxes from FedEx, even if I ship via UPS, since UPS doesn't sell guitar boxes. It measures 50" X 20" X 8". That box has fit every bass case I've ever shipped. Some additional padding might be necessary for cushioning the gaps.

I use GK and Genz-Benz (now Genzler). I'm a fan of both their 12" speakers and amps. Can't go wrong with either, but, play around with a few brands and find your "sound".

YES! I usually sort by recently created ads first, but that sorting option seems to be gone now. Now it's a jumble of recently updated ads only. Maybe it's temporary as the @Administrators work on bugs but it would be great to get that back.

Have you verified they're legit? I think TB was having issues with spam bots not long ago. It's happened to me; they seemed interested, made offers, then nothing

Nice! I went with a Burgundy Mist sparkle with a matte gold pickguard. Post pics once it's done! ✌️

If you REALLY want to go all out, dip the card in clear resin in the same thickness as the pickguard, add a few screw holes and screw it on. You can even oversize the shape of the card slab to match up with the pickguard's corners.

Every bass was a custom order and the vM5's were introduced much later . Hard to say how many were built but my guess is 10-15. Super rare. You can probably order one today for $5k+

While we're all here, $20K, $30k for a new Alembic? C'mon, man! I'd love to know their margins lol
