Watching this since I have a vintage P coming my way soon and realized this is going to be an issue. I’ve played a ‘68 Jazz as my main (and only bass) for ages and it has binding with black dots, so the contrast is perfect on even the darkest stages.

My roundwounds are around 15 years old and still kicking, they're basically flats at this point.... I'm terrified at having to change them!

That's how my '68 is, it's definitely built from parts laying around, Lollipop tuners, button on the back and earlier logo. Best playing bass I've owned.

In your situation, 100% no need for Protools, Wav files are all you need, just make sure to send out as stems, so export from the beginning of the project regardless of how much dead space there might be.

Just to add, especially if you do a lot of soldering. Get a brass sponge soldering tip cleaner, you just stab it a few times with the tip. Using a wet sponge cools the iron down and then you need to let it come up to temperature, which can throw off your groove:)

I miss my Oxide dearly. I sold mine when I left my band 10 years ago and I just rejoined them after all that time. Does anyone know of a fuzz pedal that gets anywhere close to the oxide? Hoping one comes up for sale at some point!
