Thats exactly what mine does when it overheats. Id check the fan, mine would occasionally stop and allow the amp to overheat.

Nevermind..... Turns out that some idiot had wired up the p pickup so the 2 coils were out of phase. Which explains why only 2 strings sounded crap... (yes I am that idiot).

The earplugs you have, are they the ones with the interchangeable filters? I have the ones with 15 db and 25db filters. I find using the 15db filters does cut out alot of the ringing after a gig. As to getting in the groove, I use the earplugs all the time. at practice, at gigs. You do get...

yeah well the rest of the crowd wanted us to play iron maiden. Considering we sound nothing like either of those bands it was quite interesting. Oh and one guy asked if we were gonna play sweet home alabama. Short answer, no. I think that town is used to crappy covers bands.

Thanks. Hardware consists of black schaller bridge, black schaller tuners, all black knobs and switches. Controls will be Vol, master tone, blend, coil tap for humbucker, A/P switch, bass, treble. It will have a preamp, but im still sorting that part.
