Tell me about SWR (also, them vs Gallien Krueger?)

A Mk 1 700RB 2x10 combo and 1 -15 RBH cab was the best sound i ever had, period. cut through on stage beautifully and well balanced tone. Every engineer both f.o.h. and studio asked to be my boyfriend after working with that setup.

Nevermind, i bought a shure glx-d today and I am not giving it back. No comparison to the analog pgx, its worth it.

    Ibanez SR400qm vs. Yamaha TRBX504

If i had to choose it would be the Sr 400 just because I love the sr necks and the bodies seem to be more comfortable then the trbx. Personal preference.....

    wireless system advice

I have shure pgx14 (analog) and it works well, but it does thin the tone a bit, also takes some "oomph" out of the signal but thats the trade off to have freedom from a cable. my question; is the signal and tone quality of a digital wireless (shure pgxd) worth upgrading for? Will the pgxd be a...

    new gear!

No one else to share my excitement on this so figured I would vent here. After a decade hiatus I got back into playing and went off the deep end. Carved out a spot in the basement to set up shop and reclaimed this 10 square foot area next to the catbox and water heater as mine. in the last month...

    Very odd question.

The look of an instrument plays a bigger part into us choosing it than we think , otherwise no manufacturer would waste the extra money on painting the thing different colors or choosing a beautiful quilt top to glue to the body. Your bass should be an extension of you. If it fits you and...

Argument in store over used bass

Invalid argument, if you had already started eating the tacos then we assume you had already paid for them, which means you already had legal and gastro-intestinal ownership of them, and would without argument require a beat down of the taco theiving degenerate........sorry guys I have been...

Things bass players say in the studio...

Only things i ever said was " wake me up when you need me, where is the smoking area, i just farted, dude, do you have any blow left? and " are you going to finish that sandwich?" I was a friggin prize. Lol.

Argument in store over used bass

What is the criteria requirement for one to promote from a regular dbag to an epic dbag? this needs to be established first before we can move forward on this one. sounds like an awkward situation you found yourself in. People have beaten each other over a chia pet door buster at Wal-Mart on...

    new bass vs unhappy wife

Great advice from all you guys, thank you. You are also all hilarious . I plan to upgrade the electronics on the skyline, but will snag the sr if i see a used one come up locally- the damn thing is so much more comfortable for me to play. wife is cool with this as she sees the need for me to...

    new bass vs unhappy wife

Some good advice, thanks guys. Im trying to shake the impulse buy and maybe wait for a used one to pop up. On the lakland I fixed the horrible solder work and pumped the pots full of deoxit to douche it all out. works ok now, I just need an excuse for a new bass.

    new bass vs unhappy wife

Hello all. I am getting back into playing after a decade. All I have left from my past career as a musician is a well worn lakland skyline 55-02 with numerous teeth marks on the headstock, sand in the tuning gears, and butchered electronics - a non stock Bart ntmb preamp that has the worst...

    Opinions, Recommendations, Advice & Grievances

I am in the same boat as you. I played for a living about a decade ago, then changed gears in life and dumped all my gear. I played rock and was a huge fan of gk, had a few 1001rb's with the rbh cabs and a samsamp di to add some grit. Cant justify that stuff for what I do now, but reccomend a...
