Argument in store over used bass

Anyone takes something out of your hands in an effort to intimidate you? That's assault, a crime. You take something out of my hands in a store, I will not so politely remind you that you committed assault. Continue to make an issue of it and you can explain to the police why you think you are allowed to do that.

This was a bass. Sitting on the sales floor. With a price tag on it, not a sold sign. Clearance and used items are first to pay wins.

The "dbag" committed no crime here. Total jackass, yeah, but not a criminal. If OP took it out of his hands after he picked it up off the floor, that could technically be assault depending on words exchanged and other factors. At that point, it is not paid for, the store owns it, the store decides who gets it. Let them handle it. NEVER physically intervene, guy could be a psycho waiting in the parking lot for you.

Take the high road and walk away, not a hard thing to do.

Oh GAWD! Assault? Oy vey, vhut is this world coming to? Bunch of prissy little special and unique snowflakes.

What is the criteria requirement for one to promote from a regular dbag to an epic dbag? this needs to be established first before we can move forward on this one. sounds like an awkward situation you found yourself in. People have beaten each other over a chia pet door buster at Wal-Mart on black friday, so it seems this is an appropriate way to handle the situation.

If this were a wild west cathouse in the old days (not that I was around at that time), if you moved from the girl you were dancing with to a second one, the first one was up for grabs - even if you say you just wanted to check what's available.

Even if you left the first girl plugged in and leaning against the still on amp?

So basically according to the fair game logic. At any point during a shopping experience if you see something you want. Its ok to just take it.So me reaching and grabbing the guitar was perfectly fine according to this logic. The guy hadn't paid for it yet, fair game.Maybe I should have let him run it over to the register and right before he pulled out 89 bills rush the register at through my money at it.Then it would've been mine.

According to this,up until the money has swapped hands and the item is bought its fair game.

Makes perfect since now.

Glad you understand.

Haven't read all the posts; have tacos been mentioned yet? More to the point: if I'm eating tacos and set them down to check out a bass, and somebody else grabs the tacos, do they now belong to the other party?

Invalid argument, if you had already started eating the tacos then we assume you had already paid for them, which means you already had legal and gastro-intestinal ownership of them, and would without argument require a beat down of the taco theiving degenerate........sorry guys I have been drinking tonight.
