Argument in store over used bass

Salmon tacos, I presume? No one can own a salmon. It's a free creature. You can only be its guardian.

Scored an awesome deal on a used Fender Jazz Bass the other day!
I had been thinking about buying a really nice used Fender Jazz bass a local store had for sale for a great price. After thinking about it for a few days, I went back, hoping they still had it, and I see it hanging there, but just as I was heading towards it, I see this guy put down an Epiphone Goth POS, and reach for the Fender J bass I planned to buy. Then, another guy picks up the crappy Epiphone, and this diverts the first guy from grabbing the J bass. The two Dbags start arguing over who was going to buy that crappy Epiphone, and I walked right past them, and grabbed that J bass off the wall. I am really enjoying my new bass.

Edit: I was so happy to score the bass, I celebrated by stopping for tacos on the way home. I feel sorry for whoever got stuck with that Epi.

This presents a problem for me. I'm getting a double neck. If I take my hand off one neck to play the other, do I still own the neck I'm not playing? A question for the philosophers.

lol !!! That was beautiful and it pretty much sums everything up. I'm glad this incident came to light now I know the proper etiquette for purchasing an instrument.

Me: "Excuse me my fine sir good afternoon to you I was wondering if you had intentions on that row of fine instruments hanging behind you?"
Sir Dbag: " Well good afternoon to you also kind sir and yes I am having demonstrations with each of those fine instruments until one strikes my fancy and after I am done please feel free to demonstrate whatever is left."
Me: "That would be excellent I shall wait quietly in the corner until you conclude your business"

I think you need to watch "The Thing with the Two Heads" before you start getting all philosophical about double necks! ;)

You grab me, or anything I am holding at anytime, in a public place, you are dealing with the cops. End of discussion. Learn how to act in public or stay home.

You have got to be freakin kidding me! Talk about a total over reaction, lighten up Francis, we are talking about a bass, not the holy grail. And people wonder why this world sucks today...

Unless you can play two basses at the same time, reaching for another bass implies you are no longer gonna play the other one. You let it go, I'm surprised the guy didn't clobber you over the head with it lol.
So anything you touch is automatically yours?

Guy is lucky I didn't knock his block off for being so rude.

I watched that movie when it first came out and at the time it was regarded has a high quality art piece. :)

I also saw it brand new and have to say it provided the rock-solid foundation for me as an artist in terms of avant guard film. After seeing it, Empire by Andy Warhol suddenly became interesting.
