Got a reply back from Fender saying that I needed to plug into front of amp from Out2 at the back of the tuner. This seems pretty stupid as it means having to run a lead from the back of the tuner to front of amp which seems a pain when you have it in a rack, surely they must have designed it...

Thanks. Have tried effects loop out the back of the amp; plugged the effects send into the input on back of tuner and then Out2 on back of tuner to the effects receive. Thanks guys appreciate the input. I am going to try a Goliath III at a gig this week to see how it goes, it's about $600 NZ cheaper than the Eden so there is certainly a big benefit of going for the classic combo rather than the more boutique one.
