    Cavity Size List?

Yea, I was just hoping there was a convenient way to see a bunch of options at once. My first hope is that I could find a pickup that would fit the body without needing to route it. Get some luck with string spacing and pickup dimensions with the sound I wanted. Just one of those long shot...

    Cavity Size List?

Afternoon all ... Was wondering, has anyone ever compiled or come across a list of bass pickups that list cavity size? I've been trying to see my different options for replacing a neck pickup in a semi-hollow I have and it would be so much simpler if I could simply see what would or...

Fixing an old EB-0. need pickup suggestion.

The only other pickup I can think of is SGD's drop-in replacement mini-humbucker (ND3-MHB) that they wind hotter than the stock one. Link Removed The Model One (and it's sister pickup the Will Power) are neck pickups that weren't designed to pick up those highs properly. Add that to trying...

Show me your vintage Japanese Bass!

My early-70's Crown SG (EB-3). It looks a LOT like a '71-'73 Ibanez 2354b but is branded "Crown" (the word) in mother of pearl/pearloid(?) on the headstock. Near as I can tell, this was made by "Kawai/Teisco", but not 100% sure of that.

    Pot replacement question

I came across this thread because I am having the exact same issue that was described here with the blend pot on my Cobra. Just as an FYI to anyone who finds themselves with a similar problem and reading this thread, I wrote to Alpha Products (the potentiometer manufacturer who was listed...

    Cleaning pickguard

I've taken a number of pick guards off and never had one warp in any way. I guess if you put it somewhere hot there's a chance, especially if it's a laminated plastic with different types/densities of plastic sandwiched. I've never experienced it though. I know that doesn't help much.

    Cleaning pickguard

I use Novus or Island Girl products when I clean/polish plastics depending on what it is. I'm not going to say any particular method is right or wrong, that's for someone else to decide. Just remember that there are a lot of "common sense cleaning" you can do/products you can use that can/will...

    Epiphone Thunderbird Goth Paint

No, you're right. It's a a flat black. It reminds me a lot of the flat black Rat Rod automotive paints, just in the look. Thanks FHM. I was thinking more along the lines of what type paint (sorry if I wasn't clear). Enamel, acrylic, acrylic-enamel, urethane, etc. Right now I'm...

Will I really have to replace the entire battery box?

Yea, with what they cost I doubt anyone is going to be selling parts.

    Epiphone Thunderbird Goth Paint

Thanks again guys for the help with the nitrocellulose lacquer question. Was wondering if anyone might know anything about the paint used on the Epiphone Thunderbird Goth. While I'm waiting for my chip repair job to setup/cure I thought I'd take a look at the only other small repair that'...

    Storing Nitrocellulose Lacquer

Guys - I have a tiny chip repair that I'll be using some nitrocellulose lacquer (NL) and a bit of pigment. Couldn't buy anything smaller than a quart of NL. I'd like to keep a small quantity of it in my repair toolbox. Anyone know of any issues with storing small amounts (2-3 oz) of NL...

    epiphone thunderbird

Not more than 10 mins ago I took care of a similar problem on a Thunderbird Goth. I had buzz on the open E and on 1st fret of the G string. After a couple tries, I went to Aquateen's excellent tutorial: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f18/epiphone-blackbird-action-adjustment-685139/#post9568155...
