    GK800RB

Those are aluminium heatsinks. So same as mine. They are just designed to wick the heat away from the final drive transistors. They are made like this to increase the surface area in contact with the surrounding air but take up a smaller amount of space than would be possible if it was all layed...

    GK800RB

I did but, being from down under, I am not sure of what issues that might raise. Is this a, might have spent some time 3 feet under, sort of thing?

If it works, grab it. Great amp… and the cabs? Worst case, they’ll make a great share house coffee table 😆

Fan? My GK 800RB has no fan nor did my previous unit. Both are passive cooling with big heatsink on the back. Was yours modified or was this an option? I often thought about fitting a fan but since I no longer play metal or heavy rock, it rarely gets to those burn your hand temperatures anymore.

How much should I focus on bass?

I’ve found the same thing you’re describing, but from a different angle. My discovery with music is that my brain (or my ear) always outpaces my skill. I take a step forward in playing, but my ear immediately takes two. For a long time I thought I was getting worse because I kept hearing flaws...

Sonicake SONIC IR loader pedal resource thread

Have you updated the links? I just got the Sonic IR and am hanging to try it with more than the 2 bass IRs it came with.

    Fake Dark Glass Pedals

Note: Having said this, I know there are great Fender basses as a mate used to have a stunning 67 P bass that was just heaven to play. I just wasn't excited by this jazz. Maybe it was a friday afternoon unit.

I didn't read that properly. I see what you mean. It is like they are wanting us to do the field trials:)

Maybe it is a statement of the chemical makeup. I.e. they're both the same active ingredient?

    Fake Dark Glass Pedals

You know, I’ve always had mixed feelings about clones and copies. On one hand, yeah, they’re riding the coattails of someone else’s design. On the other hand, they often reinforce the status of the original brand—like unpaid marketing. Case in point: I started out on a Fender Jazz copy—an old...

    Fake Dark Glass Pedals

Finally got my hands on one of those Demonfx Turbo Tuner clones after nearly 6 months of waiting for the real deal. Every time I checked the Sonic Research site, they were out of stock. Of course, typical—about a week after the clone arrived, the genuine one was suddenly available again...

    ibanez sr800?

Depends on the year. My 1991 has stacked bass and treble, both cut and boost with centre detent and a stacked mid range fixed Q parametric so you sweep to the frequency then cut or boost to taste.

    Fake Dark Glass Pedals

Initial conceptulisation, origins R & D and the final markup. Originality has a cost. The build quality of the Deamonfx stuff seems on par with most mass market ROC products. The days of everything from there being different shades of crap have long gone.

Drunks, they're the same "up over" or "down under". God love em. Love your feel bro.
