Yeah they are flats, ironically they are great! I will keep the flats if I end up parting with it, they are nicely broken in. Yeah I think I will try some roundwounds, I as of late have preferred flats but with these pickups it might do better with rounds, needs the bite.

Yes but IMO his slaps just fade away compared to a jazz bass, like not as sharp or somthing... Not bad, just diffrent. I heard a guy slap on one of those fender relic la cabronita 'boracho' basses, it had a neat tone.

I think it depends on the style of music too, the Jazz bass cuts though in the mix and the p-bass just enhances the low end with the smooth tone it seems to blend instead of cut. P bass delivers a solid classic bassy tone that people know, jazz bass varies a lot more. I believe that most...
