This bass is awesome for rock, hard rock, metal, etc. it's more suited for heavy duty types of music. its a helluva lot of fun to paly, i play it every time i see one in a shop. For funk/slap, it wouldnt be the best choice though.

Okay, i know this will sound pathetic to a lot of you, but i'm gonna ask anyways. I play a Washburn XB100, and my volume control works fine, but my tone knob doesn't catch, it will just spin all day and it doesn't appear to do anything to the sound. Is it broken, or is it supposed to be like...

dude just improvise and if you screw up laugh and lean against your amp, people will get the picture (or just think you are drunk)... either way, try it

Flea, Geddy Lee, Duff McKagen, Jean Baudin, not neccassarily in that order.

I don't exactly think he's underrated, but he definitely has a bad rap. Duff McKagen of GN'R and Velvet Revolver, people always say he's not a real player. I say, listen to his riff in "Sweet Child O' Mine"! He is completely a bass player, even though he started out on guitar.

I'd say use the GHS Flea signature Bass Boomers. They rock and have great sound. I have them on my bass right now and I have to say I'm in love.

Alright, i'm a selftaught upright and electric bassist and i currently have an electric bass. I play in my High School's orchestra and I need to know a good quality upright (or electric upright) bass that I could get for a reasonably cheap price (I'm not rolling in the dough right now).
