    Dialing in like an idiot.

I know this is for the most part subjective and that I need to trust/train my ears, but I was wondering if anyone might have suggestions for dialing in my sound. Currently I'm playing a Warwick rockbass corvette $$ through an Eden e410c nemesis combo. I play all over the neck, dominated by...

    Night/Day, Apples/Oranges

-Right, that's the whole point. We never finish anything, that way he never has to commit the songs to recording or shows. It's a defense mechanism. He's confident in his writing and i excited about it. Loves to play, write, and especially show off. Depends on the project, but the...

    Night/Day, Apples/Oranges

My band consists of myself (bass, obviously) and two good friends, guitar and drums respectively. My guitarist and I share the duty of songwriting and vocals. He is very gifted, but extraordinarily hard on himself. He has a slew of issues physically and emotionally that prevent him from being...

The Official Warwick Club (Part 5)

Part of the dilemma is that I have very particular criteria for "the right bass." I play unconventionally and as strange as it is...I actually liked how the rockbass sounded for my style. I would have to play the German before jumping on one. It may be a better quality, but it also may be...

The Official Warwick Club (Part 5)

It's a rockbass. The serial is RBL 501877-10. Made in December of 2010 in China. I'm really shocked- the quality is amazing. Now to tell the guys at the shop they're selling a rockbass, calling it a pro series, and charging a pro series price.

The Official Warwick Club (Part 5)

Got the serial, but it doesn't fit the tracker on the website.

The Official Warwick Club (Part 5)

I'm going to call them in a few hours when they open and ask them for the serial, hopefully they'll be cooperative.

The Official Warwick Club (Part 5)

I posted this in a new thread before realizing the Warwick club might actually be the appropriate place to do it. I recently went to a shop near my buddy's house and played a Warwick. This was one stop of many and I forgot write down the information on the bass. I am interested in buying it so...

    Warwick Identification

I recently went to a shop near my buddy's house and played a Warwick. This was one stop of many and I forgot write down the information on the bass. I am interesting in buying it so I called back and they assured me it was a Warwick pro series corvette. The bass I played had double bucks. I...

    Musicman Big Al Club

I've been in the market to buy a new bass for a while and haven't played anything like the Al. This is the perfect bass for me...and out of my price range as well. Guess I'll have to buy something else to keep me occupied.

    Eden/ Nemesis experience?

Nice practice amp. I played it when I was shopping around, but I wanted something that could do some gigs here and there too. Got myself the E410c- couldn't be happier.

    Re: Purchasing guidance.

You know, when I was looking for amps I was really interested in Carvin. The problem was and still remains to be that they are factory and I've NEVER seen these show up in shops. Well, now that I'm looking for basses, I have the itch again. Want to play: Invalid Link Removed Invalid Link Removed

    Re: Purchasing guidance.

you know, I just recently heard about the piccolo bass. Has anyone played piccolo bass? Thoughts? I'll have to experiment, but I'm afraid me and my guitarist would be so close in pitch that we would just start to meld; in a bad way.

    Re: Purchasing guidance.

I have been. I'm going to start bringing my amp so I know what it will truly sound like. So far Squier, Fender, and Ibanez have been problematic for my style. Schecter got a little warmer and felt better in my hands, but still was a bit muddy. Like I said, the Big Al was almost perfect...I...

    Re: Purchasing guidance.

I haven't heard any bassists that play like me, not to say there aren't any out there, I just don't know of them. My budget...I'd be willing to spend up to a grand if it feels right.
