    GK MB 112 First Impression

Hi - sorry to jump in, I'm really hoping somebody can help me out. I just received my new MB112 and as soon as I switch it on, the fan starts and doesn't seem to want to stop (I've not even played through it yet!). I've never used GK amps before, so not sure if this is normal (all my other amps...

    New amp day! GK MB112.

Hi - I'm hoping somebody can help me out. I just received my new MB112 and as soon as I switch it on, the fan starts and doesn't seem to want to stop (I've not even played through it yet!). I switch on the power button, there's a 1/2 second of red light which then moves to the blue light - but...

    Is it in poor taste...

Maybe my attitude towards this is a little too British - and I know a lot of folk will disagree with my opinion... but anyways. The only time I view it acceptable for an "active" tip jar (with a sign, or a nod, or any other method of asking for some change) is if you are busking on the street...

Post Your Pedalboard Part XVI - the smallest number with exactly five divisors

Just recently stripped my board down and built it back up, with some new additions - here it is. I spent an age adjusting the various balances, especially the SansAmp, Punch Factory and Xciter - which are always on. Getting the sweetest tone from this out to my Phil Jones rig. :bassist:

    Post your pedalboard, Part XV

The Blender is great. I spent too long with an intermitant problem though - it kept cutting out at random intervals. When I press down to blend in the FX loop, I would get nothing. I tried different power supplies, cables and chain order. Think I might have finally solved it by using...

    Post your pedalboard, Part XV

Yeah - that's my "other" band. Not really allowed my synth anywhere near that! Also, I don't use the Warwick for that... Fender '75 Jazz all the way. Being an originals band, The 48 sucks money out of me... but this band (setup above) helps put something back into my pockets...

    Post your pedalboard, Part XV

No - we've got a live drummer. He's also got a couple of MIDI trigger pads, so it's quite a powerful sounding rhythm section. I'm planning on programming some sequencing for subtle additions though for percussion and other such noises...

    Post your pedalboard, Part XV

Thanks guys. This band is actually a covers band called "The Stylists", but we're fronted by 2 girls so we do a lot of dance/pop (Lady GaGa / Britney / Rihanna / Gwen Stefani) and some older soul tunes (Marlena Shaw) / pop stuff (KT Tunstall / Kings of Leon) and even some Urban (Santogold)...

    Post your pedalboard, Part XV

Hey, just finished soundcheck for a gig tonight with one of my bands, and it's the first with my new FULL setup - new amp, pedal board, synth and sampler! Thought I'd post a few pics to see what you guys thought. Any ideas for filling the gap on the pedal board? Can't wait to get gigging...

    Steady Eighth Notes

Still don't agree with any of the single finger technique suggestions - but it is all down to personal taste. I still firmly believe that SOLID alternative finger technique is far more efficient, less clumsy, smoother and adaptable (same technique for 16th's/32nd's) than plugging away with an...

    Steady Eighth Notes

One thing I like to practise and use: Play 8th patterns alternating between your Index and Middle finger Count 1 (index) Count 2 (middle) Count 3 (index) Count 4 (middle) Then switch the Middle and Index pattern over - stating on the middle finger for Count 1. Then switch to your Middle and...

Hi, do you play mostly finger style or with a pick?

    Morley FX Blender troubles...

Thanks for the advice, I think our guitarist knows how to check the internals - I'll get him to have a look. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again

    Morley FX Blender troubles...

Hi, yeah I've tried different cables and even a single pedal loop to see if this cleared anything up. When I say it loses volume, I should have said loses 99% of the volume - there's a very quiet (almost muted signal) which can be heard if you turn the amp up.
