Hey, just finished soundcheck for a gig tonight with one of my bands, and it's the first with my new FULL setup - new amp, pedal board, synth and sampler! Thought I'd post a few pics to see what you guys thought. Any ideas for filling the gap on the pedal board?

Can't wait to get gigging tonight to a room full of crazy Norwegians!

Cheers

:)

Hooray for the PJB rig.

Judging by your setup...I'd assume that you play in some sort of dance/D&B band (?), therefore I say Moogerfoogers
and a Little Phatty/Mini-Moog with your keys. I like Moogs.

Gotta myspace for your band? I'd be stoked to check ya'll out.

EDIT: Found it....Link Removed

I only made an *** out of u and me, but still....MOOG!!!!!

Very, very cool setup. What's the signal chain?

Room full of crazy Norwegians = Black metal (methinks you're not playing that given your setup :smug:)

Thanks guys. This band is actually a covers band called "The Stylists", but we're fronted by 2 girls so we do a lot of dance/pop (Lady GaGa / Britney / Rihanna / Gwen Stefani) and some older soul tunes (Marlena Shaw) / pop stuff (KT Tunstall / Kings of Leon) and even some Urban (Santogold).

I'm going to try an introduce at least the sampler into my originals band "The 48" (Dave Matthews / Elbow / Turin Brakes kinda sound).

The chain is (for tonight anyway)...

Bass > Aphex Punch Factory > Korg Pitch Black > Morley FX Blender > Aphex Bass Xciter > PJB Channel A

The Morley FX Blender runs a loop of EBS BassIQ > EBS OctaBass > Fulltone BD > EH Bass Big Muff Pi > Akai Head-Rush

Hope to run the sampler separate next time for full stereo capability - but I'm just happy everything worked first go at SC this afternoon! Any thoughts on how to run this setup better?

Just a gathering of Edinburgh University students tonight - but we did this gig last year, and it's pretty wild! :hyper:

No - we've got a live drummer. He's also got a couple of MIDI trigger pads, so it's quite a powerful sounding rhythm section. I'm planning on programming some sequencing for subtle additions though for percussion and other such noises...

Awesome!!!

It would be kinda cool if you could record your set so we can hear how you put your effects to use. Not hoping for any miracles though.

Yeah - that's my "other" band. Not really allowed my synth anywhere near that! Also, I don't use the Warwick for that... Fender '75 Jazz all the way. Being an originals band, The 48 sucks money out of me... but this band (setup above) helps put something back into my pockets...
