What did you end up buying? I see no one responded to your thread. I love Eden amps and cabs. I have the Eden e300 and 15 cab which is perfect for me.

Eden e300 is the amp. The cab is Eden d115t. Love Eden tone! The speaker is in excellent shape for its age. Hoping the Eden e300 will be even better. Right now I'm running the speaker off an Eden ec28 combo which I may sell. Good for practice but has no bottom end.

Just purchased a 300 watt bass amp that says it's 4 ohm and 8 ohms. Also on the back it says 430 max. What kind of effect will it have on my 200 watt 15 in cabinet? I'm guessing 150 watts will be sent? Thanks!

Yeah I'm lucky. The only reason I didn't burn the amp up is I played very little the first couple days I had it. Most certainly would have been toast at a live gig.

I owned the BA115 for about 2 weeks. Had too much speaker noise for me. Loved the tone!

If you say the instrument cable is OK for up to 200 watts then it should have worked just fine. However it didn't so I don't know. All I know is the 12 gauge made a HUGE difference.

I was using a basic 6ft instrument cable. Not sure exactly the gauge. Nothing wrong with the cord. My exact setup is the Eden EC28 combo 180 watts in the Eden 200 watt D115t cab. 4 ohm to 8 ohm. Just wasn't getting the power at all.

So, I have always owned combo's. I recently purchased an amp and cab for more power. My 15 cab speaker was making a popping noise when turned up and really wasn't even that loud. I figured either the amp or cabinet was bad. Then I saw a thread about speaker Cable. I picked up a 12 gauge speaker...

I purchased the Ampeg Ba 110 just today and have the same exact issue! I will be taking it back. The tone is great but the sustain sounds horrible! Very dissappointed!!
