Your bass looks great. What scale lengths did you use? I’m am tryin to decide on building a multi scale with a kahler fixed bridge. I think I want 34-35” ..12th fret being perpendicularly so I only need 1/2” of slant on either end.

Honestly if it’s not the eq or the pickups, what could it be. I feel like testing the pickups at this point is useless only cause I don’t see how it could be anything else, so I have to replace the pickups anyway. If I’m gonna go thru the trouble of disconnecting the pickups and soldiering them...

Haha two or three time in this thread I mentioned that I took it to a place that has been an Authorized Ibanez repair center for 15 plus years. They couldn’t find anything besides maybe an eq module that didnt solve the issue.

I never said their electronics suck. I said their customer service sucks. That’s great that many people got lucky, I did not. I have two Ibanez basses and had different problems with both. Track record not looking good. I did take it to an Authorized Ibanez warranty establishment.. they checked...

I prob won’t buy another Ibanez bass. I have had issues with both Ibanez basses I own. Their customer service sucks and nobody wants to take ownership for defective parts. I also contacted Bartonlini to see if there was a way to test the pickups and they told me they never heard of an Ibanez...

Any update on this thread or has anyone else upgraded the Bartolinis with Nordstrands? My SRFF has an sound/electrical problem that can not be figured out. I’m going to swap the pickups, eq and all electronics ...looking for more experiences...

Well this has a passive/active bypass..not sure if that makes a difference.. plus I have tried to wiggle the jack to see if that was an issue. Nothing found there. The neg battery wire to the jack was almost broke, I re-soldiered that, but it didn’t fix the issue. I’m at a loss with this damn...

Well, this bass is less than a year old. If I sell it, I take a huge loss ($300-$400), then buy another bass in the $1000 range. Honestly I will prob never buy another Ibanez Bass. I own two and have had problems with both. Plus that SRMS805 prob uses most of the junk electronics Ibanez puts in...

It has a passive/active switch now, which may or may not even be functioning correctly. So frustrated with this bass. Electronics are my weakness. Wish I New someone who could figure it out..

Yeah those are the same, but I’m thinking maybe a resistor or capacitor inline that could affect output. Gonna check it with a meter and see if I can figure it out..

So does the other plug. They are both B+ GRD OUT They look identical except for the name associated with each one. I would think they both have a different wiring schematic since they have separate plugs.

So no warranty.. but the guy from hoshino hooked me up with the eq module for $12. Prob is the new one has 6 plug spots. The old has 5. The options for the last one are BEQ3 or VM3 OUT. Does anyone know what either mean and which I should use? Wish they sent a diagram or posted one on their...

I spoke the guy that used to do repairs for Ibanez again. He called me back after he spoke with his electrical guy. He seems to think it’s a module. $20 part..gonna take it to him if I don’t hear back from mherb from Hoshino...patiently waiting...haha
