    Rewire a '74 Epi EA-260

Experts, I'm planning on rewiring my '74 Epiphone EA-260. I guess the soldering and wires have worn down over time because when I shake the bass a little while playing, the neck PU will shut on or off. Bending some of the wires through the f-hole has the same effect so I suspect that the...

The Official Short Scale Bass Club

I don't know! The whole thing was a little experiment. I nicked the pickup from an old (may I say vintage) and broken no-name violin bass. The surgery did improve the overall sound somewhat but I still think the EB-0 is a lousy piece of youknowwhat. It looks pretty cool though.

You can use the Epiphone case that fits the Jack Casady basses. They're not cheap and designed for long scale but my EA-260 fits perfectly. The alternative was to use a standard (cubic) case. I didn't like that because the Jack Casady case is nicely curved and cool looking. Cheers, Ernie

The Official Short Scale Bass Club

I'd like to join the group. I've played short scale basses forever and have recently bought an Hofner CT Club Bass. I also own and play some Epi's short scales too: Viola, EA-260, EB0. Cheers, Ernie

Thanks, I do too! :) Plays like a dream and sounds pretty good. Only issue is that it lacks proper sustain.

Thanks Tahoe_Ed. Not sure what gassing for means but I suspect you like the club:). I bought it at a local online store here in the Netherlands. Cheers, Ernie

Hi guys, I would like to join the group. I received my Club Bass this afternoon and I love it! Can't take my eyes off of it actually. Here's a nice little picture of my new baby, next to my old love, the '74 Epi EA-260.
