Hi guys,

I would like to join the group. I received my Club Bass this afternoon and I love it! Can't take my eyes off of it actually.

Here's a nice little picture of my new baby, next to my old love, the '74 Epi EA-260.

Thanks, I do too! Plays like a dream and sounds pretty good. Only issue is that it lacks proper sustain.

Currently an Hartke 3500. Saving for an Ampeg Heritage SVT-CL though.

I believe Hofners deserve a great all-tube amp. I use a Trace Elliot V6 with a 2x15 cabinet and it delivers some serious oomph.

A Fender Bassman 250/115 on gig and at home, and is very good; a Peavey TNT 115 at the rehearsal room, good with the Precision, much less with the Hofner; a Vox Amplug Bass for practice at home, great little device, good with Hofner, less with P.

What are you guys using for amps for your Hofners? I'm using the Markbass 12" combo.

Older G-K 800RB w/ a SansAmp BDDI paired with a Bag End S-15D cabinet that's loaded with an Eminence Kappa Pro. Sounds great with anything I plug into it, especially my 500/1 V62. Only wish I had a second cab!

One would have to be as big a Beatles fan as myself to appreciate this, but I met Klaus Voorman last night and got him to sign the pickguard for my Senator bass. Now I just have to figure out what to put on it to preserve it, but I'm sure my bass will sound much better on those old Hamburg songs with Klaus' signature.

This is very hip! Should have had him sign a copy of Revolver, too!

It was amazing how many copies of Revolver he got asked to sign. It was if people carry their vinyl around with them on the off chance of meeting Klaus. I must say, my Hofner sounds much more authentic on the Hamburg-era Beatles material since Klaus signed it. Also, I've gone B&W.

A pic of my Cavern '61 re-issue with an altered Ibanez EB0.

The Cavern was bought in '98, I'm quite pleased with it's sound.
That was also a reason to get the old pickups that I had stored fixed.
They came from an altered Crucianelli Cougar bass, it's condition
was too bad to get fixed on short notice. (I still have a little plan for the leftovers.)
So they ended up on the Ibanez.

I think the Hofners sound great through any amp! My Hofners especially love my Traynor YBA1A Mk II tube head. They also sound great through my new TCE RH450! But haven't got that one dialed in yet...

I play my Hofner Club bass through a Sadowsky SA200 and an Anniversary Ampeg SVT410HEN. I've been waiting on some Weber AlNiCo speakers.
