Another shot of the back of my Contemporary. While it doesn't have as much of a pronounced flame as many others I've seen, the two sides are matched better than most.

L to R is a '62 Senator, RI 500/1, '63 or '64 Committee, '04 Club LTD.

The Committee was once owned by Peter Green, and is THE FINEST Hofner, let alone fanciest bass I have ever laid eyes and hands on!! I have more pics of it somewhere, which I will post when I locate them. Though the Committee has been gone for some time, the other 3 each have a special job, and get plenty of love!

And I wish to give my '80 Carvin LB50 bass a special mention, since its neck was made by Hofner, for Carvin!!

Very nice. I, myself, am a sucker for the colored ones. I have a blue Icon, and a red CT. Even if I could afford the German ones I probably would pass. I'm kicking around selling the icon and getting a blue CT as a backup to my red one. I don't get the low end on the icon that I do the CT and with the praise and worship I do, I could use the low end. The icon is doable but it's nice to have the CT on those lows.

Thanks to all of you for the kind words guys. I'm really pleased with this beauty. I was kinda leary getting one because alot of the re-issues don't have vintage looking colors to the burst,but this one hit the nail right on the head for me... I LOVE IT!

TahoeEd, I will put together a short little review of sorts. I'm not a real experience player,but I think I can sort it out. All in all though, I am totally gone over the German bass. The ICON while a great value, I didn't like it as well as my CT which I still have and love..after all I only got it a few weeks ago. haha. Value hands down to me is the CT... The German bass...well need I say more,but for those than don't want to spend over a grand used or over 2 grand new, the CT is close to the German bass...very close. The weight difference is really very noticeable, but to me, I really dig the CT over the ICOn because the CT even with the sustain block, is more of the complete Hofner experience. With the Icon, I felt it was too close not to be closer if that makes any sense.

Anyway, enough of my story... lets see some more Hofner pics!

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I have a blue CT en route, due in tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb 16). I will post pics of both the red and blue CT. In the mean time, I have my blue Icon up for sale and have posted it in the classified section. If you like blue, this is the one, because as of right now, it's the only one I can find on line anywhere. Take a look if you are interested. Thanks. I'll get pics up after I get the blue CT.

Well I settled on these 2. Got La Bellas on the red and still deciding which way to go with the blue one as far as strings go.
