    Geddy lee jazz output volume

Hi phillybass The tone seems fuller than the with the stock pups, the output with both pups on max means the amp doesnt need to be on near full pre and post gain as before. As an example the bass on the EQ was on full, now I have more bottom end than I need. I have also put some rotosound rsl66lf...

Hi all Just fitted the quarter pounders the geddy and what a difference! Can't recommend these highly enough, tone, output volume is fantastic, had them fitted by a local guitar tech as suggested by you guys and its made a world of difference to the bass. Hope this helps any of you out there...

    Geddy lee jazz output volume

Hi phillybass Like I said earlier in the thread I need to have my peavey tour 450 on near full volume to be heard. If I play the ibanez the amp only needs to be on half volume. Perhaps something wrong with my GL? Confused now, don't want to waste money on pups as I do like the tone, not so keen on...

    Geddy lee jazz output volume

Hi all Little bit better after pup adjustment Looks like I will have to live with turning gain to near maximum or invest in the Seymour Duncan replacement pups. Thanks for the advice.

    Behrenger 120 faded and died...

I had a similar problem with a Beringher amp ,it fried my Black Widow speaker, returned it under warranty, got money back and bought a Peavey 450 tour which is a good amp for the money. You may not be in a position to do this so a good amp tech may be your answer. Good luck

Dirk Fair point you make. I love the tone out of the geddy and if turning the amp up is the only solution then I will have to live with it. Thanks for replying

    Geddy lee jazz output volume

Hi frednbass Let's hope not, been looking for the geddy for while, would be shame if they had got it wrong on this model given how long the jazz has been around.

The neck pick up was some way off the strings. I have followed the fender guidelines and set within their tolerances. 22:00 hrs here in the uk so a littl late to be winding it up!

Hi mellowinman I have always played through the high gain with the Ibanez. I tried the Geddy in both and it didn't make any difference. The amp is also new to me-for clarity are you suggesting I should play the geddy through the low gain input?

Thanks for the reply. Looks like the pups were a little low,I have adjusted them closer to the strings. Would this make such a massive difference? Played the same Ibanez for 30 years so this is the first time I have experienced such a volume drop from a bass. Looking forward to checking it out...

    Geddy lee jazz output volume

Hi all First post as a newby to this great forum! I have just purchased a fender jazz Geddy lee sig and although it is a fantastic bass I have to have my peavey tour 450 on nearly max volume to be heard. I previously played an ibanez RB 850 and the amp only needed to be on halfway to shake...
